SUBJECT: Final Report Proposal
Facebook is currently the largest and most popular social networking site which is being used all over the world. It is the most attractive place for businesses to connect with Gen-Y users. The social networking landscape, however, is volatile because users can easily switch from one site to another. Today, people are considering Facebook as a major source of social networking to communicate with heir friends. I propose to write a report on why people prefer Facebook over other social networking sites.
Need: Some of the things that should be concerned to Gen-Y users regarding using the social networking sites like Facebook: · Why do you prefer Facebook (e.g. applications, staying in touch with friends, features, etc.) · If most of your friends decided to leave Facebook to go to another social networking site, would you leave Facebook with them? · Facebook has a better privacy
Some people prefer Facebook because of its contents provided to the users and some prefer it due to the higher number of active users it has. Facebook is getting more and more active users everyday because it provides a lot of features which are better compare to other social networking sites.
Topics: · Facebook has a cleaner lay out. Think of Facebook as a Mac. A Mac is functional, white, basic, and easy to use. · use to keep in touch, find friends, access photos · Facebook makes it harder for unknowns to find you. In order to be found on Facebook the person searching must know either your network, full name, or email (Better Privacy) · Being Ahead of the Curve (Facebook has been ahead of the game and has cared more about the functionality of their network and accumulating a loyal and massive following. They take better care of their users). · Less Advertisements (Facebook is better because they do not bombard you with advertisements) · Popular and Fun Games (Facebook has more fun and engaging games)
